SEC Provides Guidance on Rule 11Ac1-6

FAQ Posted For Order Routing Reporting Guidance

On June 22, 200` the SEC announced that its Division of Market Regulation has published Staff Legal Bulletin No. 13 responding to questions the staff has received from market participants on the implementation of Rule 11Ac1-6.

Rule 11Ac1-6 requires all broker- dealers that route orders in equity and option securities to make available quarterly reports that present a general overview of their routing practices.

The legal bulletin, in the form of a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document, sets forth the views of the Division of Market Regulation. The Commission has neither approved nor disapproved its content.
